The Last to Flap
Flap. Dodge. Outlast.
The Last to Flap is a multiplayer flying race for 2–8 players. Everyone flies the same course at the same time: tap to flap through the gaps between the speakers and the streamers, and watch everyone else's flyers crash around you. The last one flying wins.
No app. No account. Free.
How to play The Last to Flap
Find a game to race people online, or start a private race and share the code. A game is three races and takes about three minutes.
-
Tap to flap
Your flyer falls on its own. Tap anywhere on the screen (or press space) to flap up. Short, steady taps keep you level.
-
Fly through the gaps
Speaker stacks rise from the rooftops and streamers hang from above. Touch one, or the rooftops, and you're out.
-
Be the last one flying
Everyone flies the same course at once, so you see the others as ghosts beside you. Outlast them all to win the race.
Points and the winner
Three races per game. After each race you score points, and the most points after race 3 wins.
For every flyer you outlast. Crash fifth in a race of eight and you still beat three people: 3 points.
For winning the race. The last one flying gets a bonus on top, so the final two have a lot riding on it.
Crash at the same moment and you share the place. Overall ties go to most race wins, then most gaps cleared.
10 flyers, 10 kinds of wings
Every character flies with their own wings: lily pads for the frog, pterodactyl wings for the dino, cotton clouds for the bunny, and more.
The Last to Flap rules
What you need
- A phone, tablet or computer with a web browser. Nothing to download and no accounts.
- Online: just you. Tap Find a game to race 2–8 people. If nobody else turns up, you can race bots instead.
- With friends: start a private race and share the 4-letter code or the QR code. 2–8 players, each on their own device.
A race, step by step
- The start line. Everyone lines up at a different height, and a 3-second countdown starts the race.
- Flying. The course scrolls past and speeds up as you go, and the gaps get a little tighter. Everyone flies exactly the same course.
- Crashing. When a flyer crashes, a cannon booms and they're shown in the sky behind the course with their place. Everyone else keeps flying.
- Final two. When it's down to two, the game calls it out. The last one flying wins the race and fills the sky.
- Watching. Once you're out, you watch the rest of the race and can send emotes that float up the side of everyone's screen.
Scoring
| What happened | Points |
|---|---|
| Each flyer who crashed before you | +1 |
| Winning the race (last one flying) | +3 |
In an 8-player race the winner gets 10 points, second gets 6, and last gets 0. In a 2-player race the winner gets 4.
Tips
- Tap little and often. One big flap sends you too high to catch the next gap.
- Hover near the bottom of each gap: a flap always lifts you, so it's easier to rise into a gap than to drop into one.
- Look one gap ahead. The course speeds up, and the next gap can be much higher or lower.
Questions
Is The Last to Flap free?
Yes. It's free to play in your browser on any phone, tablet or computer, with no app and no account.
How many people can play?
From 2 to 8 in a race. Playing alone? Tap Find a game, and if nobody joins before the timer runs out you can race 1 to 5 bots on easy, medium or hard.
Can I play with my friends?
Yes. Start a private race and share the code or invite link. Everyone races on their own device, in the same room or on a video call.
Do slow connections lose races?
No. Every phone flies the same course from the same start, and only your taps are sent. A tap that was on time still counts if it arrives a moment late.
How long is a game?
About three minutes: three races of up to a minute or so each, with the points shown between races.
Can I turn off the sound?
Yes. Tap the speaker button at the top of the game screen. Your choice is remembered on that device.
